Online LIVE cooking lesson with Minesh Agnihotri from the Kari Club. 8 families joined each Zoom event to learn how to cook authentic Indian dishes. All ingredients were sourced and packaged beautifully by Minesh and delivered to each participant. The two sessions were highly succesful. Families were able to enjoy lovely meals together after spending a couple of hours cooking together.

Each participant was given enough ingredients for 8 people and they ate 4 portions and the remainder was collected and given to the homeless. Two great evenings filled with fun, laughter and learning new skills!

Saturday 13th June : Baingan Bharta

Smoked aubergine crush. A dish originating from the Punjab. One of my favourite all time vegetarian dishes. A beautiful smoked aubergine with simple spices and mixed with creamy yoghurt. We are cooking this with a fragrant onion pea pulao and a zingy parsnip thoran, finished with of course our lovely home made chapati’s.

Saturday 18th July : Mamaji’s Chicken

Mamaji’s chicken is an interpretation of my mum’s dish that she used to cook when we were kids. Boneless chicken thigh made with fresh spices, cashew nut puree and roasted fenugreek. Cooked with a beautiful sweet potato and carrot thoran, cumin and bayleaf basmati rice and wholemeal chapati’s.
